Duet for bodies and voices, is a work in progress, developed in residency at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. It is part of the final stage of a new project Divertimento by award-winning aerialist and vocalist Gisele Edwards. The project will premiere in 2016 at The Castle, Wellingborough.
Divertimento is a playful programme of work exploring the visceral and physical aspects of music. The pieces look at how body (instrument), space (sound waves, suspension, the space between notes of a score) and movement enable music. In Duet for bodies and voices, two aerialists negotiate space and elements of scaffolding and song to construct an exuberant physical and musical
composition.
